What does the Gladiator have for features?

This four-door midsize pickup truck has seating up for five-passengers and comes with a five-foot steel bed. What really sets this midsize truck apart from any other truck in the market is the open-air freedom provide by either the removable soft top, body colored hard top, or the black hard top. The base Gladiator Sport comes standard with a backup camera, an eight-speaker sound system, a five-inch central display, a Cass II bumper hitch, and anti-sway trailer control. One step up is the Sport S with heated power mirrors, power door and tailgate locks, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Continuing up the model lineup is the Overland with a 7-inch infotainment system, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, side steps, and LED ambient footwell lighting. Sitting at the top of the model lineup is the Rubicon with 33-inch all-terrain tires, Fox shock absorbers, and body-protecting rock rails.

A two-speed transfer case with a 2.72:1 low-range gear ratio is featured on the Command-Trak 4x4 system along with a heavy-duty generation Dana 44 front and rear axles with a 3.73 rear axle ratio. While the Rock-Trac 4x4 system uses a heavy-duty third-generation Dana 44 front and rear axles with a “4LO” ratio of 4:1. The Rubicon also features a Tru-Lok locking differential and a 4.10 front and rear axle ratio.

What powers the Gladiator?

At launch, the 2020 Jeep Gladiator comes with a singular engine option. That engine is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 producing 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. At the start of 2020, the Gladiator will be available with a diesel engine. The late availability 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 engine pumps out 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque. When paired with the gas engine the Gladiator comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission. An eight-speed automatic transmission is available for Gladiator’s with the Pentastar engine and comes standard with the EcoDiesel engine. The automatic transmission comes standard with Selec-Speed Control which manages the Gladiators speed in “4LO.” The Gladiator is capable of towing up to 7,650 pounds and has a maximum 4x4 payload capacity of 1,600 pounds.
