There are five trim levels to consider when choosing a Ram 3500 in the 2020 model year. The base Tradesman trim comes outfitted with standard features like a 6-speaker sound system, tilting steering wheel, a 5-inch touchscreen, locking tailgate, power windows and locks, air conditioning, Bluetooth connectivity, and 3.5-inch information display. The upper trim levels add an integrated trailer-brake controller, cloth upholstery, larger wheels, heated front seats, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, smartphone integration, front and rear parking sensors, heated/ventilated front seats, navigation, a 10-speaker sound system, leather upholstery, a 360-degree camera, and more!

What kind of engine options are available for the 2020 model year?

The Ram 3500 can be powered by one of three engine options in the 2020 model year. The standard engine is a 6.4-liter V8 that generates410 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque. This engine features cylinder deactivation to save fuel and comes paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. RWD is the standard drivetrain configuration but AWD is available. Two versions of a Cummins 6.7-liter inline-6 TurboDiesel engine are offered. The first kicks out 370 horsepower and 850 pound-feet of torque while the second cranks out 400 horsepower and 1,000 pound-feet of torque! Both versions are paired with a specially-developed 6-speed automatic transmission. Again, RWD is standard but AWD is available. The Ram 3500 is capable of towing up to 35,100 pounds and hauling up to 7,680 pounds!

Ensuring peace of mind and confidence behind the wheel, the 2020 Ram 3500 comes outfitted with a host of advanced safety technologies. The Class-Exclusive Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking feature alerts the driver when an accident is imminent. If the truck does not sense driver action, it will automatically engage the brakes to come to a complete stop even when a 35,100-pound trailer is attached to the truck! Other safety features offered include an adaptive forward lighting system, adaptive cruise control with stop, blind-spot monitoring, ParkSense front and rear parking assist, and more!
