Intro of the 2019 Dodge Charger Lineup

Dodge has revamped the entire Charger lineup for the 2019 model year. Each trim level is ready to perform with immense power and advanced capabilities. The exterior of the Charger has been updated with performance-enhancing design features and the interior of each model comes outfitted with the latest in-vehicle technology from infotainment to convenience. The Charger is available in seven trim levels for the 2019 model year. They consist of the entry-level SXT, GT, SXT AWD, R/T, and R/T Scat Pack, and the top-of-the-line SRT Hellcat model! Each of these trims is unique offering a range of features that cater to a wide variety of thrill-seeking drivers. We are going over each trim level below so keep reading to find out which one is perfect for you!

 

SXT

The 2019 Charger lineup starts off with the entry-level SXT model. This trim level comes outfitted with features like an automatic halogen projector headlamps with LED accents, remote engine start, capless fuel filler, electronic stability control, capless fuel filler, cruise control, electric power steering, and three 12-volt power outlets. Available features for this trim level include the Cold Weather Package, a Caramel Nappa leather interior, Houndstooth patterned cloth sport seats, a 20-inch Black Noise wheel option, heated steering wheel, heated cloth driver and front passenger seats, and the Blacktop package.

GT RWD

Next up is the GT RWD model. This trim level is outfitted with features like a 3.07 rear axle ratio, enhanced steering wheel outfitted with paddle shifters, an 8.4-inch touchscreen interface with Dodge Performance Pages, Houndstooth patterned cloth upholstery, an instrument panel with a Dark Dub Plate design appearance, and two new wheel design options in Black Noise and Satin Carbon. The GT RWD model is also outfitted with performance geared features like passenger seats, suspension, spoiler, hood, sculpted side sills, and fascia.

SXT AWD

Brand new for the 2019 model year, the SXT AWD model is outfitted with all kinds of impressive features. They include a standard all-wheel-drive system, front axle disconnect, and active transfer case. There are tons of options for this model and they include of a brand new Black Noise 19-inch wheel, the Houndstooth patterned seats, the Caramel Nappa leather interior, the Cold Weather Package, and the Blacktop package.

All three of these models are powered by the award-winning Pentastar engine. The 3.6-liter V6 engine that comes mated to an 8-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. The powertrain output depends on the model. In the SXT the duo generates 292 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, underneath the hood of the GT RWD and SXT AWD models this combination creates 300 hp and 264 lb-ft of torque.

R/T

The R/T model is next and it ramps everything about the Charger to new levels. They include race-geared chassis upgrades like a 2.62 rear axle ratio, a steering wheel with paddle shifters, a performance suspension, Dodge Performance pages, and enhanced steering. Performance geared features include exterior and interior features like sculpted side sills, seats, hood, seats, and fascia. Other standard features for the 2019 model year include a larger 8.4-inch touchscreen interface, 20-inch Satin Carbon/Black Noise wheel options, the Houndstooth patterned sport seats, and a new Dark Dub Plate designed instrument panel. The Cold Weather package is available for this trim level as well. This trim is powered by the supreme 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine that is also paired with the 8-speed automatic transmission. Together they generate 370 hp and 395 lb-ft of torque.

R/T Scat Pack

The next trim level is the R/T Scat Pack. Standard features for this trim include Line Lock and Launch Assist for maximum launch performance from a standstill during races, a dashboard switch for Launch Control ignition. Launch Control coordinates the suspension, engine, driveline, and transmission to work together for optimal performance during launches for straight-line consistent acceleration. The R/T Scat Pack model also comes outfitted with the Dark Dub Plate instrument panel, Houndstooth seating, a new Scat Pack bee badge, and a performance grille with dual air inlets. Available options include a three-mode Bilstein Adaptive Damping Suspension, Satin Black-painted hood, and Dual Carbon stripes. This model is powered by the iconic 392 Hemi V8 and the automatic 8-speed transmission. Together they generate 485 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque.

SRT Hellcat

The top-of-the-line SRT Hellcat model is the fastest, quickest, and most powerful sedan on the market today. This model also comes outfitted with the performance grille with dual air inlets, Torque Reserve, After Run Chiller, Line Lock, and Launch Assist. The SRT Hellcat also gains new instrument panel badging, and available features like the Alcantara interior package, Satin Black painted hood, and Brass Monkey 20-inch wheels. This model gains the most powerful engine in the lineup supercharged Hemi 6.2-liter V8 that is paired with the automatic 8-speed transmission. Together this powertrain delivers 707 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque.
