8,000 Miles
You have just driven your Ram 1500, your first 8,000 miles, congratulations! Your Ram 1500 will be due for its first oil and filter change at the 8,000-mile mark. Having your other fluids checked and your tires rotated is also a good idea. You will want to have this service performed every 8,000 miles.
20,000 Miles
Every time your Ram 1500 travels 20,000 miles, you'll want to take care of a few essential items. First, inspect the front suspension. Next, your brakes and tie rods should be checked, adjusted, and replaced if needed. Replacing the cabin air filter at this point is a good team as well. The cabin air filter cleans the air that comes into the interior through the heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning system of your Ram. It catches dust, pollen, and other airborne material that can make riding in a car unpleasant, particularly if you have allergies or other respiratory problems.
30,000 Miles
Small tasks like engine and cabin filter replacement and larger jobs like CV/Universal joint inspection should be completed at the 30,000-mile mark. It's also a good time to check your transfer case fluid and have the case and axles inspected. If you suspect a gear oil leakage, check the fluid level. If you use your Ram 1500 for police work, taxi driving, fleet services, off-roading, or frequent towing, change the axle fluid at this time. These conditions require you to inspect the transfer case fluid during the 30,000-mile maintenance visit.
60,000 Miles
Every 60,000 Miles, the transmission fluid, filters, engine coolant, and brake fluid should be checked and replaced. Inspecting the transfer case fluid at this time is also a good idea. An engine air filter prevents your engine from being damaged by dirt, dust, sand, and other contaminants. Still, if it becomes clogged, your engine air filter can negatively impact your vehicle's performance.
100,000 Miles
The 100,000-mile marker is a big one for your Ram 1500 pickup. In addition to repeating many of the services above, you'll also need to have your spark plugs, wires, and PVC joints inspected and replaced. You should also replace your engine coolant. This needs to be done at ten years or no later than 150,000 miles. If equipped with Engine Stop/Start technology, replace the accessory drive belt with an OEM-grade Mopar belt at this time. Also, replace the transfer case fluid now.
