What is the Ram 1500 Revolution’s Powertrain?
As we mentioned earlier, the Ram 1500 Revolution is Ram’s first-ever battery-operated vehicle, also known as a BEV. This means that the Revolution gets 100% of its power from a rechargeable battery pack, which eliminates the need for gas. The Ram 1500 Revolution has a set of two EDMs, or electric drive modules, which are the motors that propel the truck forward. These modules are placed on either end of the vehicle, creating an even distribution of weight. For those who might be experiencing some range anxiety, we’re pleased to let you know that you can gain up to 100 miles of all-electric range in just 10 minutes of charging time when you use an 800-volt fast-charging DC cable. Plus, since the Ram 1500 revolution has no engine, you no longer need to worry about oil changes, or other engine maintenance!
What New Features does the Ram 1500 Revolution Offer?
Generally speaking, the Ram 1500 Revolution carries on the tradition of sporty pickup truck design with a classic American appeal. However, the Revolution also sets itself apart from other trucks on the market with a variety of new and exciting features. For example, we mentioned earlier that the Ram 1500 Revolution does not have an engine. This means that there is some empty space in the front of the vehicle, under the hood. Ram takes full advantage of this space by adding a front-facing trunk that they affectionately call the “frunk”. Another new feature is the addition of third-row jump seats that can be configured to suit your needs. You can remove the lower portion for storage, or create a pathway between the two. The front end of the Ram 1500 Revolution features the iconic RAM emblem, framed by two LED headlights with a tuning fork-inspired shape.
What are the Features of the Ram 1500 Revolution?
In addition to the new features we mentioned above, there is much more to love about the Ram 1500 Revolution! Some of the features will be familiar to you, based on previous iterations of the Ram 1500 pickup truck. For example, there are many available tech features for the Ram 1500 Revolution to help you stream music, navigate your journey, and more. One available feature for the Revolution is a new AI personal assistance feature. You can use this voice-activated feature to control you Ram’s various features, while remaining hands-free. Like all Ram trucks, the Ram 1500 Revolution has a central infotainment touchscreen. However, it also adds a second 14.2 inch touchscreen that can be removed and used independently as a tablet! Other features include a Smart Home Control system, and a smart storage feature that can help you measure items in real time.
